Hi, I'm Hunter Banks! I am a teacher, coach, and photographer.

Growing up in South Carolina, I was gifted my first camera as a high school junior so I could take photos for the school newspaper. I've been taking photos ever since.

Most of my work centers on sports and wildlife, but every once in a while I stumble upon an event or landscape that begs to be captured.

My "day job" is as a middle school social studies teacher and coach in Alamance County, North Carolina. As you can see from my self portrait, celebrating my students' successes gives me more joy than any photo could.

That doesn't stop me from chasing the feeling of the perfect photo, though. Currently, I'm fascinated by the way light interacts with our sky.
